Pack for Purpose is an yearly CSR initiative of our BA-IHTM final year students of Silver Mountain School of Hotel Management. This is mainly done to involve all students working as a team and bring in some changes to the society. This is also an introspective movement to look towards a lesser privilege children and help them to grow and have a fulfilling academic journey. This year, Pack for Purpose chose Shri Durga Adharbhut Bidhyalaya at Gaidakot, Nawalparasi. This government school has 200 students and they all come from a very marginal and financially weak family. This is not just about the actual trip and the event day, but also the whole process of collection, planning, packing, giving and organizing the campaign and its implementation. As the school grows, so does our alumni. It is indeed a proud moment for SMSH to have a full cooperation and involvement of our alumni far and wide to come for this cause. Our travel partner @Rent Tour is run by our ex-student Bipin Panth and he had made this whole journey a seamless experience. Also, our other alumni Zenith Kandel has a wonderful restaurant Ataali at Bharatpur, where we stopped by for a sumptuous lunch. We are also grateful to Kabilas Resort And Funpark, Chitwan Paradise Hotel Pvt. Ltd. ,Chitwan Jungle lodges, @Siddhartha Riverside Resort Pvt. Ltd, Chumlingtar for their warm hospitality and service. Special thanks to Gorkha Brewery Pvt Ltd and Carlsberg for tour of their factory at Gaidakot. It was once in a lifetime for our students to visit your state of the art and modem factory.
Overall, it was an extremely successful and rewarding experience for all of us. A memory we will cherish for life and keep it closer to our hearts.
