Diploma in International Culinary Arts(DICA)
Silver Mountain School of Hotel Management introduced Diploma in Culinary Arts for the first time in Nepal. With the exponential growth in demand for qualified manpower in Hotels and Restaurants both in Nepal and abroad, Silver Mountain, a leader in hospitality education field, has taken the challenge to prepare aspiring Chefs for the position.
Out of six semesters, the first three semesters will be conducted in Silver Mountain's own state of the art facilities at Lainchour. Kitchen has been designed and built specially for the course. Students intern at a Five Star Hotels in Nepal on the fourth semester. Fifth and sixth semesters however will be paid internship in the USA. Diploma in Culinary Arts course is specially designed for students who have decided on their career path and want to specialize in food production. Students who have completed 12th class with 50% aggregate are eligible to apply for DICA program.
